Laura is the President of Aquaocean Transport where she is committed to providing clients with integrated Freight Forwarding solutions tailored to the specific needs of their shippers. By air, ocean, land or rail shippers are guaranteed competitive rates, and outstanding customer service.
She was selected by Goldman Sachs for the 10,000 Women Initiative. The 10,000 Women initiative was launched in 2008 by the Goldman Sachs Foundation to educate women entrepreneurs in emerging economies. The initiative was designed specifically to provide a business education, access to mentors and networks, and links to capital for 10,000 underserved women operating small businesses. The founding objective was to spur economic growth and build stronger communities by opening doors for women whose financial and practical circumstances would otherwise prevent them from receiving a traditional business education.
Laura has always been a community leader and volunteer. She has served on the Kickstart Kids Board of Directors for many years alongside Gena and Chuck Norris. She has been instrumental in building a team of consistent donors that have invested in character education for at risk youth.
Laura served as the 2016 Co-Chair of the Helping a Hero Gala and has been on the Advisory Board of Helping a Hero since its inception. She is looking forward to serving our wounded warriors in a larger capacity by joining the Board of Directors. Her greatest reward is seeing lives changed.« Back to the list of Helping a Hero Leadership
