The Improvised explosive device blast that left him with burns over most of his body hasn’t stopped retired Marine Master Sergeant Blaine Scott from continuing to do good.

And, after years of helping others, Scott and his family soon will receive a little help from the Houston-based nonprofit organization Helping a Hero. 

Helping a Hero — at a  ceremony with Scott, his family and members of the community — recently broke ground on an adapted home in New Braunfel to help the wounded soldier live the life he always wanted.
